Crystal Forms & Their Purposes

Crystals come in many shapes and sizes, but did you know that a crystals form can also bring additional purpose ?
Keep reading to find out more about some of the most common crystal forms.

Clusters

Clusters are crystals formed of several points radiating from a single base. A Clusters multiple points radiate energy equally in all directions, making them great amplifiers and a great way to transform the energy of a room., you can also use clusters to amplify other crystals; by laying smaller crystals on top of your cluster.

Raw Crystals

Raw crystals are crystals left in their original, natural state as it was found in the earth. They give off a pure energy as they have come from the earth and have had minimal alterations to them, meaning they are in their truly natural state. They Release a strong, sporadic energy, they are great for use during meditation and kept on the body or in a pocket to help us feel more grounded and present.

Sphere 

Crystal spheres, also known as crystal balls are usually carved from a larger piece of crystal, this often means that they contain planes or flaws within them. This crystal form emits energy in all directions equally & is best used for scrying, providing a glimpse of what is to come or what has been.

Point

Crystal points are one of the most common crystal forms, they can vary in size but will always have a definite faceted, pointy end and the other end can either be rugged or flat, depending on whether it is naturally occurring or artificially shaped. Crystal points work to concentrate and direct energy, they are great tools for healing as they can draw off energy when pointed away from the body & work as a channel drawing energy in when pointed toward the body. 

Geode

A geode is found within an outer form. When opened, a cavity filled with many crystals is revealed. Geodes hold and amplify energy within themselves. Due to their rounded, cave-like structure and multiple points, they diffuse the amplified energy they hold, softening it and allowing it to flow out as required. This form is great for protection, spiritual growth and addiction. 

Double Termination

Double-terminated crystals have two definite points at either end, some are naturally occurring while others are artificially shaped. a double terminated point radiates and absorbs energy simultaneously. This form creates balance, and is useful in healing as it absorbs negative energy and break down old patterns.

Cube

Cube or square crystals consolidate energy within their form, this form is useful for anchoring intention and grounding your energy. Naturally occurring square crystals such as Fluorite can also draw off negative energy and transform it into positive.

Pyramid

A pyramid shaped crystal has four sides on a base. This form amplifies and then tightly focuses energy through its point, making it the ideal form for manifestation programming. Pyramids can also be used to draw off negative energies and blockages from the chakras, replenishing with vibrant energy. This form also enhances and focuses the inherent properties of the crystal it is formed from. 

Egg

Egg shaped crystals are commonly associated with femininity, fertility, and birth. Their form confines and shapes energy and can be used to detect and rebalance blockages in the bodies energy centre's. The more pointed end is useful for reflexology and can be used as an acupressure tool. This crystal form also makes an excellent comforter to use in times of stress as it fits perfectly in the palm of the hand.
